What Is The Difference Between "Bold" And "Mild" Coffee?

Coffee Beans I know there seems to be two main categories for coffee, bold and mild. Now my question is: What is the actual difference between bold and mild coffee? Is it in the amount of caffeine? Is it in the strength of the flavor as in the "umph" it gives to one's taste buds? I honestly don't know. Well... This is interesting. I have some customers with similar issues. The acidity in the coffee is what is bothering your stomach. What can be done to alleviate this? Sometimes nothing... But there are some things you can try. #1) Try coffee from Indonesia or Africa. Not from Central or South America. African and especially Indonesian coffees have less and/or softer acidity than your Central and South American coffees. #2) The darker a coffee is roasted the LESS acidity it will have. Try a French Roast or a similar "Dark" Roasted coffee. #3) This is my BEST suggestion and the one that has had the best results. Try the cold-brewing process. This process typically removes around 60% of the acidity from coffee. Just type cold brew into your search engine for some more details on this... Hope this helps!
